Please help! A wild bird let me pet it??? Why?

my friend,i think the age of that bird must be less,it is too young to under stand that the approching individual will harm that,I think it will ne in the same area,if not eaten away by some cat/pray bird,but even if it will be alive dont pet because its parent will be upset. from raja shaheen iqbal
