How did the French cause World War 2?

The French made European alliances to isolate Germany. This brought Germany into bankruptcy, and Germany held a grudge on France basically. The French also made an extremely harsh treaty against Germany--The Versailles Treaty; in which Germany was blamed for WWI and had to pay a huge indemnity and reparations.
