Chirping sound in 02 civic?

Almost every time I turn the engine on of my 5 speed 02 honda civic, a rhythmic chirping noise starts up. This only happens when the engine is cold and if I press the gas the sound speeds up but then stops. The car had its timing and accessory belts replaced as well as the water pump 10 k ago and the oil and other level are also fine. What could be the problem?
