Possible sprained ankle?

Yesterday I was at one of my mom's friend's house, she lives in the country. I climbed her hay bales that were under some sort of open shed thing. I was on a high hay bale sitting down when I saw a wasp and another bug( I'm terrified of bugs!). I thought the wasp was going to fly closer to me and the other bug crawl toward me, so I kinda jumped kinda fell to the ground and landed on my right ankle and it started hurting really bad, it still does. Oh, I'm not making this up. I can walk on it, but it hurts. I hurt my ankle several times, could I have possibly injured it again? Is it sprained? Thanks!
