Shedding question about bearded dragon?

I know it's natural for reptiles to shed but would it harm the beardie if someone tried to pull the skin off? It sounds very cruel but my sister was joking around saying she was gonna do it cause she hates it. Im keeping her away from it. I don't think she would really do it
