I want to lose weight and FAST!?

I am trying to shed about 25lbs to join the military. Going to the gym, I change my shape (lose inches) but not my weight! I want to lose the weight so I weigh in so re recruiter will actually talk to me, then worry about the stregnth training side of things. I'm a 24 year old female that works 11 hours a day. Any suggestions?
