Did u boil baby chicks?!?

I was making eggs (that I bought from the store, from Hudson valley farmers market) and a few seconds after I turned the stove on (yes, I already had the eggs and water in there) I hear something that sounded almost like little baby chicks chirping! But it was quiet, and there was bubbles coming out from the eggs. I took one out and cracked it open, but there was nothing unusual inside. Please help!!! I hope I didn't boil and animals...!!!!!!
